This policy explains what data the "Leletna" app collects, how we use, protect and share it, and your rights to control it. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Last updated: 2026/10/13

1. Who we are

• The app is operated by Abdelrahman Ashraf Mohamed Ali Elzoghaly, which is responsible for processing your data under this policy. You can contact us about privacy through the contact details at the end of this page or on the "Help & support" screen.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: username, email address, phone number (plus an optional second number), and password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider; we never see it).
• Address and location: your detailed address and its map location (when you choose delivery or save it in your profile), used to calculate the delivery fee and to deliver and collect the device. Your current location is used to sort stores by distance only if you allow it, and location is only requested while you are using the app.
• Rider location: for rider accounts only, location is updated while the app is open and the "Available" status is on, so we can suggest the nearest tasks. While a device-pickup job is assigned to the rider, the store and the platform admin can see the rider's last location on the rentals map.
• Order data: booked devices, dates and extensions, prices, coupons used, order status, device-pickup requests, late fees, payment collection records (amount, time and who collected it), and outstanding amounts.
• Reviews: the ratings and comments you write and the reports you submit.
• Images: product photos and store logos (store owner and admin accounts only).
• Notification ID: your device's identifier with our notification service, used to send you order updates.
• Account safety: account status (active or suspended) with the suspension reason and date if any, the list of users you block, sign-in times, and your chosen app language.
• Chats: the messages and photos you send in the app (to a store, a rider or customer service), when they were sent and read, and an "online now" status only while a chat is open. Hidden location data is removed from photos before upload.

3. How we use your data

• To fulfill bookings and to deliver and collect devices.
• To contact you about your orders and send order status notifications.
• To verify your phone number with a verification code when you register or reset your password.
• To prevent abuse and to moderate reviews before they are published.
• To calculate extension amounts and late fees, follow up on their collection, and prevent new bookings while amounts are unpaid.
• To protect users and the platform: suspending accounts that break the rules, letting you block users who abuse you in reviews, and preventing fraud.
• To provide customer support, resolve disputes and settle accounts with stores; for this, the platform admin can view account and order history when needed.
• Answering your questions and complaints through customer service and chats.
• Issuing platform-fee invoices to stores, containing only order numbers, dates, amounts and the platform's share — no personal data of customers.
• Sending general notifications about offers and updates to groups of users; you can turn them off in your device settings.

4. Data sharing

• With the store you book from: your username, account number, phone number, delivery address and its map location (after the order is confirmed and during the rental), to fulfill the order and collect the device. One hour after the order is completed, your phone and address are hidden from the store.
• With the rider assigned to your order (delivery or device pickup): your username, phone number and address, and any outstanding amount they need to collect from you.
• With the platform admin: for support, dispute resolution, settlements and content moderation, and only to the extent needed for that.
• With service providers that operate the app on our behalf: hosting and database (Supabase), notifications (OneSignal), maps and address search (OpenStreetMap), and verification code delivery.
• With authorities: when required by a competent judicial or official authority under the law.
• In chats: the other side (store, rider or customer-service agent) sees your username and the messages and photos you send. A customer-service agent sees only your username, account number and the details of the order linked to the chat — not your phone number or address.
• The platform team only views your chats with a store or rider when there is a complaint or dispute; such access is read-only and time-limited, and its reason, time and the person who accessed it are logged.
• We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

5. Payments

• Payment is made in cash on pickup or delivery; extension amounts and late fees are collected in cash by the store or the rider when the device is collected. The app does not collect any payment card details.

6. Where your data is stored

• Data is stored on servers hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. — servers in Germany and travels between the app and the server over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The service providers listed above may process some data outside Egypt under their own data protection safeguards.

7. Data retention and account deletion

• We keep your data for as long as your account is active.
• You can delete your account inside the app (Profile → Delete account), or request deletion through the contact options on the "Help & support" screen.
• When your account is deleted, your account data, notifications and the list of users you blocked are deleted, and your name, phone and address are removed from your orders. We keep order, payment and review records without any personal data (anonymized) for accounting and legal obligations. An account cannot be deleted while it has an active rental, an open pickup request or an unpaid amount.
• Verification codes expire within minutes, your phone and address are hidden from the store one hour after the order is completed, and records of account suspensions and admin actions are kept for reference in case of disputes.
• When you delete a customer account, your chats with their messages and photos are deleted completely.

8. Data security

• Access to data is restricted by account type (customer, store owner, rider, customer service, platform admin).
• Passwords are never stored in plain text.
• Data is transferred over encrypted connections, and access rules are enforced on the server itself, not only inside the app.
• Chat photos are kept in private storage and can only be opened by the chat's participants through temporary links.

9. Your rights

• View and edit your data from your profile.
• Turn off notifications from your device settings.
• You can revoke location permission at any time from your device settings; the app keeps working (you can enter your address manually).
• Delete your account at any time.
• Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to its processing, and file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Center. We respond to privacy requests within 30 days at the latest.

10. Children

• The app is not directed at anyone under 18, who may not create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

• We may update this policy from time to time; the date of the latest update is shown above, and we will notify you in the app of material changes.
